The cat's away !

Dilara and her travel team are out cruising the ocean, and Kaitlyn is in California. That means Christina, Jenn and I have the run of HipMix.net HQ's. Unfortunately, we have been on our best behavior, so there is not a lot to report.

Monday's Mishaps : 

•  Great new article posted today, Hip Tips To Curb Muscle Cramps. If you are not a big fan of drinking pickle juice after doing Turkish drops, you'll want to read up on this.

• Justin Bieber stopped by. He read our blog, and wanted to interview for Dilara's spot while she is traveling. We let him help out in the sales office since Amelia is out today.

Peek-A-Boo ! Choli tops for you !

• We got our picture in VIP Magazine ! Too bad they named us incorrectly, cropped out HipMix.net, and ran the "VIP HOT SPOT" event about 2 months too late. Way to go, guys.

Finally effing Friday

Pardon the cliche, but today is a very freaky Friday. Maybe it's because the last two weeks have been utter hell, but I feel like things are finally getting back on track. I brought muffins to the office to celebrate:)

Other points of interest : 

• Vacation is in the air. Dilara and her family are leaving this afternoon, the Mr. and I are still hoping we can make NOLA at the end of March. 
  
• We had a man-bashing session over breakfast
• Great new blog today, courtesy of the whole(@hipmix, @hipchristina, @kaitlynofthemix) HipMix.net team !
• I tweeted @PadmaLakshmi and told her she would be great at breaking the stereotypes of bellydance. I am anxiously awaiting a reply.

Ah, I love my job.

All's quiet on the HipMix.net front

It has been quite a crazy week here at HipMix.net HQ's, but I think the full moon has passed and everything is starting to come together. We have lots of good things on the horizon, including our first birthday, a whole new site lay out, new shopping options, and of course great articles.

" They have gotten some incredible feed back, including from yours truly.( I am inspired by Fermina Daza from "Love In The Time Of Cholera").  Maybe it's the estrogen fest happening at HipMix.net HQ's, or the research I am doing for an article on body images and eating disorders, but today I am especially inspired by belly dancers. We are lucky to be a part of a lifestyle that embraces us for who and what we are, not our dress size or what we had for lunch. Shimmy on, sisters !
